Manchester Airport has received another award, this time is for the parking facilities. The Association of Chief Police Officers have now awarded Manchester Airport a "Park Mark" award for its excellent parking facilities and for safety.

Manchester airport, which is only the second ever airport to be presented with the award, achieved this by reducing vehicle crime in the airports car park by over 78% over the past three years.

The improvement in vehicle safety came after a £250,000 security investment into security cameras, secure fencing and extra lighting in the airport's car parks.
